Couldn't ask for anything more from the hosts, made to feel very welcome and they even booked us a table at a nearby restaurant! In a very quiet location and we would definitely stay again!! 5*

Tips:

Nearby Commando memorial with great views of Ben Nevin, also in a very good location if you are travelling around the west coast and Islands of Scotland.

Welcoming cup of tea or coffee with home made cakes on arrival was lovely, great room with great view, Helpful hosts nothing was too much trouble, lovely breakfast.

Tips:

Great location for visiting Ben Nevis area and Caledonian canal plus numerous walks. Easy to find. Lots of information provided prior to visit regarding local restaurants. We visited the old station at Spean bridge which was really good for wholesome pub food and then treated ourselves at the old pines restaurant only a mile from the B and B and had an excellent home cooked meal in lovely surroundings.

Although only a short stay, we really enjoyed our visit - it’d been a stressful day of driving and you’re genuinely warm welcome was greatly appreciated! Bed was also so comfy - and the salmon and egg muffins for breakfast were delicious! Also think you’re managing so well in current circumstances - place was spotless, but the additional necessary measures were also handled well, not intrusive but reassuring. Thanks very much!

Tips:

Sadly we were only breaking up the journey south from beyond Gairloch, so didn’t get to explore the area (this time). But thank you for the restaurant recommendations - The Old Pines was great!

Everything about our stay was lovely. Thank you for being so accommodating and helpful! You have a lovely home & B&B and we hope to return if we're able to get up to the Highlands again. Thanks again! - Dorian & Eden

Tips:

The location of the Springburn Farmhouse is really good for exploring the whole surrounding area. Recommend Glencoe, the Glenfinnan Viaduct, Ben Nevis, and Loch Ness especially. Right down the highway is a very nice memorial to WW2 commandos too. Food-wise, we really enjoyed our dinner at the nearby Whispering Pines Lodge. Thanks Susan for the recommendation!

Really great little b&b, close to Fort William. Morris & Susan were exceptionally friendly and generous hosts. Everything was sparkling clean and hotel was ready for Covid regulations. Susan and Morris are very friendly and attentive hosts .nothing is too much trouble Their B&B is spotless , fresh and well presented and our room was quiet and comfortable . Highly recommended !

Tips:

Can highly recommend Browns at the Nevis Inn in Fort William for a meal . Things to do- a visit to the Glenfinnan viaduct , even better if you time it to see the Jacobite steam train going over - usually twice a day roughly 10.45am and 3 pm I think . Car park can be very busy on weekends - May have to park on the road. it’s national trust so remember your card to avoid the £3 car park charge

31st August 2020:

This was our 5th and final night after driving around the North Coast and we definitely saved the best for last. The place was immaculate. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Susan who was extremely welcoming, even offering us a beer or wine which was a lovely touch. The room was clean and fresh with a mountain view (comfy seats and a coffee table by the window to enjoy the views with a drink in hand). Everything looked new. Following a great night's sleep we had a fantastic freshly cooked breakfast. Whilst checking out we had a nice chat with Susan and her husband and met their 2 dogs (we didn't even know they were there so don't let that put you off of you're worried about dogs barking!) We will definitely stay again next time we're back in the Highlands.

Tips:

There's a Spar a couple of miles away to grab some essentials and petrol stations around 10 minutes away. Lovely location for a quiet night with great views even whilst eating your breakfast.

Received a lovely welcome from Susan and Morris. Room was beautiful with a lovely outlook to the front where May the highland cow is. The scenery is stunning with all the mountains. Breakfast was delicious. Special of the day was smoked salmon and scrambled egg on a muffin.

Tips:

We ate at The Old Station Restaurant. Would highly recommend it. It was a beautiful night and restaurant has seating outside for pre dinner drinks. I’m vegetarian and found my meal delicious. During the day we walked up Ben Nevis. Was a bit busy but stunning views and worth the effort.

Exceptional house in a beautiful setting. The hosts are lovely and so welcoming and friendly. Catered well for our breakfast requests.

Tips:

Not in Spean Bridge itself so don’t panic if you drive through and wonder where it is. If coming from Fort William you pass the Commando Monument. It is not far from there. If coming from Inverness/Kyle of Lochalsh if you pass the monument you have gone too far. We had a lovely evening meal in Smiddy House in Spean Bridge.
