Our stay at your hotel was first class starting with your warm welcome when we arrived. We felt very much at home. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was well supplied with a special range of locally made soaps and soft towels. The breakfast was delicious and your staff very helpful with knowledge of Fort William.

Tips:

We would recommend the Ben Nevis mountain hike and the Jacobite train trip to Mallaig.

The hotel is ideally situated with a beautiful view of the Loch and mountains. Trevor, Catriona and staff are great. They are warm, friendly and helpful with nothing being a bother to them. They made our stay really enjoyable. The room we were given was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was great and quite filling. Loved the porridge and the full breakfast was a cracker as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of visiting the Scottish highlands.

Tips:

The hotel is ideally situated - well within walking distance of Fort William's town centre (approximately 5 minutes' walk).

A very warm and friendly welcome and all staff more than happy to help with anything at all. Spotlessly clean and comfortable room, beds were a dream! We, a family of 4, including two young boys, would definitely recommend and would certainly visit again. Many thanks to Trevor, Catriona and all the staff for a wonderful stay.

Tips:

The Jacobite Steam Train was an excellent adventure. A restaurant called The Stable (10mins walk) definitely worth a visit.

Amazing stay here for 5 nights. Friendly welcome and a beautiful house. Rooms great and clean, comfy and all the amenities needed were provided. Owners and staff were excellent hosts and we were well looked after. Great location just 5 minutes from the town. Highly recommended and would stay here again.

Tips:

Ben Nevis Bar (book a table!) Jacobean train (But pay extra for first class!) Evening Cruise...good value if the weather is fine! Find the smaller beaches north of Arisaig

Great location, mostly friendly staff. Easy walk to town/train station. Great to have parking per room, if needed. Breakfast was really tasty and plentiful. Loved our room with the sitting area in the tower, a lamp there would have been helpful though.

Tips:

We took a loch cruise with Crannog, also had lunch in their loch side restaurant. Both very popular, booking advised. Ideal location for us, we had prebooked the Jacobite train trip.

14th June 2021:

I don't what to say except you all are the best. My one tiny piece of critical feedback would be that the beds were too hard, and the chairs in our room, too. Just add some foam toppers maybe? After a hard day of hiking I was sad the bed wasn't the rejuvenating helper I hoped it'd be. And it wasn't just me, my husband and two kids had trouble getting comfortable, too. Even so, my youngest wanted to live in that room, she loved it so much. :)

Tips:

Old Inverlochy Castle and the Highland Soap Company was a lovely afternoon and leisurely lunch after checkout before we hit the road back home. Steall Falls was a great and (gorgeous!) family hike. Loved the walkable High Street and can't wait to come back and visit it when covid's well and truly over.

Beautiful, clean, spacious and comfortable room. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful and the freshly cooked breakfast was excellent.

Tips:

We used Fort William as a stop over on our way to and from Skye and enjoyed a visit to nearby Glenfinnan and the ‘Harry Potter’ train. Neptune’s Staircase the 8 locks of the Caledonian canal at Banavie are amazing. Pubs/bistros in Fort William, are very busy which unfortunately means dining is not a relaxed affair. Food comes really quickly, no break between courses and staff are very keen to move you on.

Very warm welcome by the hostess. Great spacious room and bathroom. Breakfast was very good (delicious scramble eggs and fresh fruits). Young lady serving was very efficient and friendly. Only thing I would suggest is to improve the lighting for the mirror and install hangers in the bathroom for the towels (there is nothing to hang them). Great place overall.

Tips:

There are good restaurant and pub recommendations in the hotel's book. It is highly recommended to book well in advance for the Crannog seafood restaurant. All are within easy walking distance.

We loved the family room. It was very spacious and perfect for 2 adults and 2 children, with plenty of room. Our grand daughter was very unwell when we arrived in Fort William and we discovered that our Australian mobile phones could not be used to contact the NHS. The hosts at Glentower very kindly provided us with a phone to use for as long as we needed it. They were extremely attentive and we very much appreciated their assistance and concern. The breakfast was great. I highly recommend this lovely, friendly B and B.
